I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), one of the UK’s leading bodies for the profession.   
I undertook a rigorous course of intensive training and personal therapy which took over 4 years. I have undertaken the PgDip in Psychodynamic Psychotherapeutic Counselling at Brighton University and the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), a course accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
I have worked as a clinician with a wide range of clients of different ages and backgrounds, with a range of issues, and in various settings, over several weeks, months, or years.  I've worked in private practice, for several agencies, for an employee counselling scheme, and at a university counselling service.  I also volunteer for the NHS in an acute psychiatric hospital.
I abide by the strict Ethical Framework of BACP.  I am fully insured and I undergo regular Supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).  I hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
I'm experienced at working with difference and diversity and my approach is open and inclusive.  My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative.
I have a background in community work and pastoral care and I have experience of working with and listening to a wide range of people. I hold degrees in Maths and Theology.
